Maggie Basset

Born in the Rocky Mountains of northern Colorado in 1981, Maggie began her journey as an artist as a small child, sitting at the kitchen table, doodling animals with 'those eyes that watch you'. She moved to Northern Wyoming at the age of seven. She continued to create, using the rural landscape and her own horses as her muse. She entered and won many contests in her high school years. After high school, however; she somehow managed to forget she always wanted to be an artist. She entered Cosmetology school, and had a successful career for many years. It wasn't until she met her now husband, Josh, she began spending time outside, hunting, fishing, and camping. She began to feel the pull, the need to paint, to recreate the beautiful scenes and animals of the wild.
